In the heart of South West London, the V&A has a whole host of fantastic spaces available. The central Dome area offers an incredible setting for events for up to 700 people with high ceilings, marble flooring and lined with classical architecture. The contemporary reception desk in the centre of the Dome serves as a fantastic cocktail bar for a drinks reception or, the space can accommodate 250 guests for a seated dinner or dinner dance.
The Victoria and Albert Museum’s galleries are also available for hire. Opened to the public in 2009, the Medieval and Renaissance Galleries that showcase the largest collection from the period are a network of ten galleries that make an unrivalled event space. These awe-inspiring galleries are located next to the Dome and may host up to 300 guests.
The Dorothy and Michael Hintze Sculpture Galleries, displaying some of the V&A’s finest sculpture, are also on offer to provide a stunning setting for receptions or pre-dinner drinks. The striking space is filled with some of the finest sculptures, has dramatic black and white marble flooring and floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the Madejski Gardens. These galleries can accommodate either 60 seated dinner guests or up to 300 standing guests for reception events. The adjacent Madejski Garden is a tranquil space available for up to 700 guests and offers a brilliant view of the museums C19th terracotta façade from the outside.
The Victoria and Albert Museum’s other spaces include the Raphael Gallery, Fashion Galleries, the contemporary Sackler Centre, the Hochhauser Auditorium and various seminar rooms.
