Last Month Create hosted the very first Harvest Festival at Old Billingsgate, The Vault. The event saw a collection of Create’s clients, event agents and industry press under one roof to help raise awareness for British produce and sustainability within the events industry.
Social Season from Young Guns opened the event with a folk style musical set as guests were treated to a stunning canape reception in the vault space. The canapes were accompanied by Chapel Downs delicious English sparkling wine.
Canape favourites included
Carmarthenshire air dried ham, citrus cured scallop, cumquat puree
Duck liver parfait, Morello cherry (seen below)
Slipcoat cheese, poached pear, pistachio brittle (v)
After the reception Create's managing director Oliver Barnett took to the stage to welcome everyone and introduce our event partner Alexia Robinson from Love British Food who spoke about their mission, supporting local farmers and her personal love for British food.
The guests were welcomed down into the well to enjoy the harvest-inspired tasting menu. Create worked with Mary Jane Vaughan to design a magically multi-sensory experience throughout the entire venue. The beautiful suspended floral installation in the well featured British flowers that were also seen in recycled glass vases down the length of the two wooden banqueting style tables provided by Event-Hire.
Once the desserts were finished everyone the guests made their way upstairs to enjoy delicious petit fours and Chapel Down wines before departing.
