Canapé Reception at The Victoria and Albert Museum

Over 200 corporate VIPs attended the launch of the Grace Kelly: Style Icon exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in partnership with create. The main attraction of the evening was the opportunity to view the glamorous fashions of one of Hollywood's most popular actresses in the 1950s who then became Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco. On show were her Oscar statuette, and over 50 of her outfits, as well as hats, Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery and the original Hermes Kelly bag.

Guests were served coups of champagne and martinis on arrival and staff dressed with pink neck-ties and strings of pearls circulated with canapes reflecting the hedonistic Beverley Hills/Monaco life Grace Kelly led.

Guests enjoyed an array of delicious canapés including, pearlised white macaroons with smoked salmon and goat's cheese, black waffle cone with regianno sorbet and regianno wafer, seared scallop with lychee gazpacho and cucumber jelly, mini martini glasses of lobster cocktail and tasty salted caramel chocolate shoes.

The dome was washed in pink light, and vast black urns brimming with pink blossom and peonies topped the bar as guests were entertained by a pianist on a white mini grand.
